Argentine pianist and trombonist, Omar Grandoso is also graphic designer and teacher of morphology of the image at the University of Buenos Aires. As a musician he has been part of numerous projects with improvisational ensembles along with various artists (Carolina Rizzi, Sabu Toyozumi, Frode Gjerstad, Miguel Grinberg, Sergio Paolucci, Ramiro Larrain, and others), he has participated in experimental film groups and contemporary dance companies. As a designer he has worked in groups of independent artists from different disciplines. He also made music for theater, visual arts and composed multimedia works.

This album, Destajo, is the result of the composition of a time series consisting of sound fragments corresponding to different moments of Grandoso's work, alone or in the company of other musicians. The sounds used are their own and those of others, field recordings, home essays, and pieces specially composed for this album. The process of digital assembly allows the forced coexistence/juxtaposition of elements that the author laboriously assembles in a momentary configuration of his musical memory.
